Worldly Elegant Essentials!

PICKUP ONLY FOLKS, its pretty heavy and very large.

A fabulous Large French Style 1920s 1930s vintage tapestry fire screen with a Romantic pose by two lovers in a Courtly European Harbour scene. I discovered this tucked away in Melbourne, this freestanding hearth shield has a romantic elegant charm of a European grand estate, it appears it has a aged patina on the tapestry, with a lovely buttery yellow background with muted blues, beiges and pinkie salmons, browns, just the way I like it. It has a tasteful streamlined stained oak frame which allows for the tapestry to come to life. The crown jewel of this screen is its expansive, masterfully woven jacquard tapestry insert. It beautifully captures a poetic, classical European harbour scene, where elegant courtly figures in flowing period gowns gather along the stone docks at dusk. Assembled using authentic old-world structural nails and vintage upholstery tacks, it blends some historical substance with an airy, graceful presence. It stands perfectly steady and flush on classic carved trestle feet—ready to serve as a stunning architectural centrepiece for your living room, an upscale room divider, or an addition to a historic home collection. I found this hard to part with, it suits French Country home, Victoria, Edwardian, Art deco, Vintage Scandinavian, Old worldly Abode.
