Vintage Spanish Revival Brutalist Wood Bookends, Mid Century Medieval Mooring Post & Chain, Hand Carved Gothic Brutalism Made in Spain 1970s

Whats up smarty pants?

A cool unique pair of mid-century Spanish Revival / Brutalist bookends, handmade in Spain during the late 1960s to 1970s. Instead of the common cannon design, this set features heavily stylized medieval mooring posts (or hitching posts) wrapped in metal docking chains. Solid, heavy wood wavy construction with a deeply gouged, dark-stained finish. Chunky detailing including accent rivets with square nails. Classic Brutalist, chunky aesthetic perfect for shelf styling, libraries, or office decor. I love this brutalist era, it reminds me of my parents house with all there spanish revival objects and artwork, its truly comforting. These would make for a fabulous gift for the hostess with the mostess.

I try to contribute to save the planet, so buy vintage its so much nicer than the new. All packaging is recyclable and nothing fancy folks, wrapped extremely well. I try to stay clear of more paper, cards for less landfill.
